Excess Baggage Fee Cebu Pacific
Cebu Pacific excess baggage fee is P250 per kilo for domestic and short-haul flights. This is only applicable to passengers who already bought a prepaid baggage during booking or via Manage Booking.
BE AWARE! IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT CEBU PACIFIC BAGGAGE RULES
- If a passenger, who did not buy a prepaid baggage prior to showing up at the check-in counter at the airport, is carrying a bag that weighs greater than 7 kilos, he/she will be required to check-in the bag. Excess baggage per kg rate will not apply. The passenger will be required to pay P784 for 15 kilos check-bag allowance.
Sample situation: Mr. Juan carries a bag that weighs 10 kilos. The Cebu Pacific staff will require Mr Juan to check-in the bag because it exceeds the 7 kilos free hand-carry allowance.
Mr Juan will pay P784 as baggage fee so he can check in his 10-kgs bag.
Mr Juan will still pay 784 pesos even if he will divide the items in his bag into 7 kilos and 3 kilos and he will only check-in the separated 3 kilos. Why? This is because at the airport, the MINIMUM check-in baggage that passengers can buy is 15 kilos at P784 rate.
- Some ceb pac flights which uses smaller aircraft imposes a maximum number of check-in baggage that can be availed.
Example: For flights to Pagadian, Dumaguete, etc., each passenger may only buy maximum of 20 kilos bag allowance.
- If you did not buy prepaid baggage at booking time, you may buy up to 4 hours before your flight via Manage Booking.
Don’t be caught by surprise. If you know there is a possibility that your bag weighs higher than 7 kilos, buy prepaid baggage because the rate at the airport is really very expensive.
There are certain items that are not allowed and allowed for hand-carry and check-in bag. There are also some items that are allowed for hand-carry but not allowed for check-in.
Make sure that all liquids you plan to bring as part of your hand-carry bag will be placed inside a 100-ml bottle or smaller containers.
Baggage allowance can be combined for passengers who are under one ticket or one record locator.
